A word about finding the right costume:When you finally find the right costume that you absolutly love, please don't settle on the first price that you see!
A lot of times the same costume can be found elsewhere, a lot cheaper! But you have to look around and do some research. How? Simple. Simply do a Google search (or use which ever search engine you are most comfortable with), click on the "images" option and type in the name of the costume you are looking for, with quotations. For example: "Sexy Mermaid Adult Costume". This will bring up all of the images which match this title. From there you can click on different ones, which will take you to different sites, where you can then view the price.
My suggestion is to create a new folder in your favorites tab. Label it as you wish, and save each site that has a cheap price. You may even want to check out eBay, to see if anyone has a gently used costume that you are looking for. Or perhaps they never even used it! I found my Mother's costume on eBay, for a much cheaper price, simply because the head piece was not included. But that didn't matter for us anyway, because we were creating our own headpiece's! :D

A "quick" word about the Disney Store! ^_^ :
First things first: if you have a Disney Store near you, in a Mall or elsewhere: CHECK IT OUT!!! Yes, the prices are a bit steap, but they are SO WORTH IT!!! These costumes are about the best out there that you will find, that will actually LAST! The only better thing then a Disney Costume bought from the disney store, is something you have custome made! (When talking about Faery costumes n' such anyway. ^_~)
And YES it HAS to be from The Disney Store, because the other ones you find in Wal-Mart and such, are just NOT the same! Those WILL FALL APART!
I checked out: www.thedisneystore.com, but they just don't have the selection that you will find at the actual store. And of course, the BEST time to go, is around Halloween. Although they do have various costumes all year round. Also, the costumes you can purchase online, are NOT the same ones you can purchase at the actual store. So unfortunatly, I can not speak for the online costumes. Which is why I strongly suggest, visiting a store if you possibly can. However, again, you can check out eBay for gently used (or never used) ones. Just make sure the seller has a good feedback rating! <--- That is SO important!

Magical Mermaid Costume!
After tons and tons of browsing through many Mermaid costumes, this is the one my 8 year old finally decided on. :)
Unfortunatly, it isn't of the greatest quality, and only lasted for the day. But she was happy with it. ^_^

*As a sidenote "tip", as you can clearly see from the product pictures vs. my actual pictures, the product you will obtain will not be put together as well as the product picture, unfortunatly. :( For example: In the Silvermist product picture, the dress ruffels look wonderfully curly and wavy. However, as you can see from my picture, such is not the case. :( The same goes for the sleeves of the mermaids arms. Beautiful in the product picture, but very plain when sent to you, the consumer. :(
My only suggestion that I can offer here is: if there is anyway you can go to a store to physically try on the costumes first, do so! But hey, this is coming from someone who had her Wedding Gown custome made, and couldn't try it on first! lol. It is just a suggestion. ^_~
